LG Optimus Pad Tablet Confirmed As Coming With Honeycomb In 2011

The widely rumored LG tablet has been confirmed as coming soon with Android’s (not so) mysterious Honeycomb build. The electronics giant has confirmed that the Optimus Pad tablet will be a showcase for the upcoming Android version. Not only that, they have asserted that this 8.9 inch tablet is being prepared from the ground up to give serious competition to the Apple iPad.

Toshiba Tablet Name Leaked As Folio, More Specs Appear

Toshiba’s upcoming tablet has just been named by Italian tech blog Netbook Italia and according to them it is called Folio. Of all the paper and print related names, they had to go for that one. But at least now we have a one word name to call it by. So this Folio is the tablet device that everyone’s expecting to come out later this week at the IFA. That means we will be reading all about it pretty soon.

Toshiba’s Tablet Rumored To Be Arriving Within Next Two Months

The blogosphere’s favorite rumor mill — Digitimes — has put up a report saying that the Toshiba Tablet will be coming out in the September-October window. They have also mentioned that it will be an Android-based tablet. Even though they (Digitimes) do not have the best of accuracy ratings when it comes to such claims, they have often proved to be right or nearly so. Flash Supporting Android Tablets Are On Their Way

Whilst the Apple iPad famously does not support Flash, a slew of Android tablets are currently testing out flash capabilities. It is well known that multiple Apple competitors, including Chinese and start up companies, harp on Flash support as a means to defeat Apple. Now that has become even easier thanks to NVIDIA’s work with Adobe. NVIDIA sat down with the company that releases Flash and worked things out so that Flash runs well on the Tegra SoC platform.
